This position is a 2-year position funded through a grant from the Doris Duke Foundation. The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will join a highly collaborative and dynamic environment to advance research projects related to health equity in osteoporosis care. The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow will be expected to: (1) make strong intellectual contributions to scientific strategies; (2) play a leadership role by acting as subject matter expert in epidemiology and/or population health methods; and (3) contribute to scientific literature, reports, journals, grants, and presentations.
The ideal candidate will have:
A PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, population health sciences, or related field. Strong background in epidemiology and/or population health science as demonstrated by a first author publication in a relevant scientific journal. Experience with large database study design and statistical analysis. Active interest in osteoporosis, health disparities, and/or social determinants of health. Interest in conceiving and designing new projects in line with the Unit’s research focus. Excellent time management/organizational skills. Outstanding personal initiative, communication, and writing skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team with experts across multiple disciplines.
