Overview: The U.S. Health and Human Services, Program Support Center on behalf of the Federal Occupational Health Service (FOHS) has a requirement to provide national staffing services. The purpose of this opportunity is to provide professional medical staffing, occupational health professionals and ancillary staff in support of various Occupational Health Centers (OHCs) located throughout the United States. 

 

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Incumbent must collaborate and consult with the FOH customer agencies as well as other members of the OH team supporting Federal government agencies.  
  • Incumbent must analyze data to perform clinical, observational, epidemiological (medically unexplained systems), and case study vaccine research for signal detection, and hypotheses generation and testing.  
  • Incumbent must manage daily activities and projects within the Analytic Unit, and monitor daily operations of OH data studies to evaluate their effectiveness in attaining project objectives.

Qualifications: 

  • MD, DO, MPH or Ph.D. with qualifications in epidemiology and/or practical experience in conducting epidemiological research with five (5) years of job experience in infectious diseases, preventive medicine, public/international health epidemiology.  
  • Must be able to conduct epidemiological studies for hypothesis generation by performing Bayesian statistics and factor analysis and clustering, descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, trend analysis, multiple logistic regression, survival analysis, in addition to other statistical methodologies.  
  • Incumbent must be able to develop and execute epidemiological studies and interpret results.  
  • Incumbent must have experience working with Microsoft applications, basic computer and website use.
