REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Real-World Evidence in Winston-Salem, NC.

 

The Senior Manager Real-World Evidence will leverage their scientific expertise to provide scientific leadership in the development of integrated evidence strategies and generation of real-world evidence to support regulatory submissions and demonstrate public health impact. This role will lead high-impact observational studies focused on actual use, employing a broad range of epidemiological and clinical research methodologies (e.g. pragmatic trials) to address evidentiary needs of current and future market products. Additionally, the position will contribute scientific insights aligned with the organization’s tobacco harm reduction vision and population health impact goals.

 

This role will participate in and lead cross-functional collaborations and build relationships with internal and external partners to influence and drive alignment on regulatory science strategy. Further, this role will bring ingenuity and creativity to independently develop and recommend solutions to complex problems. This person will maintain high scientific standards and integrity, while adhering to all applicable regulatory standards and procedures. This position requires strong technical, analytical, project management, and communication skills. A strong background in preclinical, clinical, social science, epidemiology, public health, pharmacology, and/or toxicology is highly desired.

 

 

Your key responsabilities will include:

  • Collaborate and/or lead the development and implementation of bold, high-impact science for our products’ lifecycle, including developing protocols, analysis plans, statistical analyses, and interpretation of findings
  • Scientific insights to influence regulatory science strategy
  • Project management across multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing insight into scientific study design and data interpretation across a variety of scientific disciplines
  • Establishing cross-functional collaborations across internal and external stakeholders
  • Regulatory science engagement through publications, conference presentations, and external collaborations
  • Regulatory writing and scientific and regulatory engagement

 

What are we looking for?

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in chemistry, biology, toxicology, epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, pharmacology, clinical or social science, or other relevant discipline
  • More than 5 years relevant scientific experience resulting in a thorough knowledge of concepts, principles and strategic relevance
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as tobacco/nicotine, pharmaceutical, and/or medical device
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple projects
  • Strong organizational, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to interface with other functions within (and external to) the Company
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to conceive, plan and conduct work streams aligned with, and in support of, regulatory strategy
  • Strong ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to ambiguous or complex scientific challenges
  • Clinical research experience and programming experience in SAS is considered beneficial
