About the Role
The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking an Epidemiologist 1 to support the Community Health Access and Navigation in Tennessee (CHANT) initiative. This role focuses on REDCap data systems, SAS programming, reporting, data analysis, and public health surveillance support.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain CHANT REDCap data collection projects and implement changes based on program requirements.

Prepare recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and support data analysis and visualization.

Develop, modify, and test SAS code and REDCap projects to support monitoring and evaluation activities.

Provide technical assistance to staff and respond to data inquiries from regional teams, leadership, stakeholders, and public health partners.

Pull, clean, analyze, and validate data while supporting MCH surveillance projects and ad-hoc data requests.
Requirements

Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health Biostatistics, Statistics, or Health Information, or a related master's degree with qualifying experience.

Proficiency in statistical programming, particularly SAS.

Extensive experience with REDCap and electronic data management.

Strong knowledge of complex databases, data collection, analysis, reporting, and data quality.

Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
